Hexie Harvest Quilt
Yesterday I finished my Hexie Harvest Quilt top! I really, really love it! The scrappy fabrics, the low volume scrappy triangles and highlights in the blocks, the lovely balance of bold and easy blocks, and more intricate ones. I’m so glad to have this idea work so well. The kit is coming back to the shop Black Friday Weekend!
Hexie Harvest Quilt Club!
Hexie Harvest will be the Tales of Cloth BOM Club for 2023. Running February through to October, we’ll make 14 blocks a month, 2 different hexagon designs, mixing up the simple and complex so that the stitching time all evens out through the year.
We’ll have paper piece kits, acrylic templates, triangle joining shapes, and limited fabric bundles available from the 25th November, all which will ship immediately. The November sale and the February start gives all those kits time to travel all around the world, ready for us to start sewing together!
Hexie Harvest contains 15 different hexagons designs, 7 of each block. It’s so, so satisfying to make up 7 blocks, and feel that little buzz of completion before moving onto the next one! Below is the program for the year. Keep an eye out as I add photos below each block title.

February: Kick off the club with Mistletoe and Rosemallow Blocks
March: Cedar and Nutmeg
April: Aster and Kindling
May: Valentina and Caspian

July: Winter Jasmine and Juniper
August: Macadamia, Cinnamon, Sandalwood
September: Catch up, triangles, half blocks, edges
October: Quilt Tops and finish.
The Club will have it’s own newsletter sign up, full of monthly tips, PRIZES!, inspiration, links to how-to videos, and the extra pattern info for the triangle joiners version. It’s going to be so fun!
